The Greater Columbus Arts Council is governed by a board of up to 30 trustees. In the past 50 years, more than 220 community members have served in this capacity. All were chosen for their visibility in the community, their experience with cultural and civic organizations and their representation of the diversity of our community. The Greater Columbus Arts Council organizes the annual Columbus Arts Festival, which is held in early June. The Festival provides opportunities for the community to view and purchase work by local and national visual artists, experience live performances in music, dance and spoken word, and participate in art activities free of charge.
